Mike was kind enough to share the footage with me. I’ve made two videos from it, one a highlights video with some footage I shot from the beach intercut with the GoPro footage, and another much longer video of all of each race 1 through 4 of the men’s age 50 division at the 2011 Maui Race Series Neil Pryde State Championships.

Might be getting some GoPro head-cam footage from race Mike Yasak. He was wearing the GoPro at the races and has some video of that. We’ll be looking to get ahold of that, edit it and post it. Should be pretty interesting to see the footage going around the buoys.

In the longest-running windsurfing race series in the world, the age group heats ran in the morning. After the lunch break, with food provided by Neil Pryde Maui, the ability level divisions closed the fifth and final day of racing of the 2011 season.

The judges keep a close eye on a heat just before lunch break

The start of racing was delayed today due to light wind, but eventually all the heats were held, on a beautiful, sunny Maui day. Age group divisions ran in the morning, and ability level classes after lunch.
